Sri Lanka is a country with a rich history full of amazing archaeological sites, bustling towns and cities. The countryside is lush and green with such a huge diversity of animals on show. This trip was a circuit of some of the most interesting places including Sigirya, onto Polonnaruwa, then Kandy and taking the famous train through the Jungle to Ella.
Lough Dan, a lake located in the Luggala valley in County Wicklow is one my favourite spots in Ireland. Beautiful amber water surrounded by mountains and forest. Climb up to get view of Wicklow during the day and at night you will see deer come down to drink at the lake. I was lucky to share this trip with good friends.
This was my second visit to Jordan. The first was a shoot for Unicef in Zaatari Refugee Camp. I had to return to see more of this stunning country. Number one on my list was naturally visiting the ancient city of Petra. What an incredible site this is. I was also struck by the expanse and power of the desert. The people were friendly and of course the hummus was delicious!
The Western Wall
The first time I went to Israel was to shoot a video for Dropbox in Tel Aviv. I never got a chance to see the city of Jerusalem, so I needed to return! A fascinating place where you truly see the intersection of Islam, Juadism and Christianity. For years I had always been interested in the Western Wall. I got to spend a few hours observing the Orthodox men and visitors from around the world.
